Project Story

In support of the national Think Green, Go Green program, JCI Boholana Kisses planted 35 Bongalon mangrove propagules to help shield coastal areas, paired with an awareness session on climate resilience and ecosystem protection.

The same initiative included a river clean-up and waste segregation drive that collected 5.05 kilograms of waste, reinforcing that environmental responsibility continues beyond the planting site and into daily habits.

One week later, a survival monitoring activity with Deb Jomarleh Ucang, 2026 National Director for Community Action Programs, and LO President Ma. Christine Torralba confirmed the mangroves were adapting well, and the June 27, 2026 Kayakasia River Reboot reunited members for another round of paddling, planting, and cleaning.
